I've been scammed. Submitted application for my son as a co-signer (that is two application fees). I am more than qualified. Provided perfect reference from last two years. Naoimi said place we applied for have no applicants we are the only ones. Our offer to another place got accepted (farther from campus). Unfortunately google doesn’t allow 0 stars, and if it does then we have a winner here Rented a house from a reputed management company years ago but the owner went cheap and changed to Duerksen, and despite the bad reviews and reputation we tried our best to keep the house in best condition though maintenance by them was done very cheaply, and though carpet was used when we moved in and they refused to change for 8 years , and they refusal to paint or do any maintenance in leaking pipes we still handed them the house in mint... read more
Hands down the worst place to rent from. They are liars and disrespectful. They accuse you of things that aren't happening and refuse to look at video and audio recordings. Extremely difficult to get things done in regards to repairs. They also won't accept service animals even when we had ESA letters. They do things extremely illegal shady. As I said I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO RENT THROUGH. If I could rate lower than 1 star I would.
I've found Duerksen & Associates to be very reasonable managing the relationship between renters and property owners. If something goes wrong with property they get it fixed quick with minimal down time as for the tenant.
I rented from them for a year and had a hard time with a lot of different things. Firstly, the house we were in was not entirely clean. I made sure to take photos beforehand to document the state of the home prior to our stuff being moved in. Secondly, maintenance was a struggle as most of the items that we needed assistance with were 'tenant responsibility' such as the clogged dryer vent and a disposal that stopped working in which I had to spend my time messing around trying to fix it, ultimately risking to make it worse a... read more
