I am sorry we went with this company for a shower remodel. The representative was all in with a great sales pitch and very nice. My husband signed the contract and paid our deposit and the balance was to be financed. It was sent to a second rate company for financing who wanted a copy of his power of attorney and medical POA. My husband has excellent credit and it really seemed like a scam of some kind so I advised the representative to forget the financing and refund our deposit since the loan was cancelled. I signed a contract with West Shore Home for a shower rehab in 8/2023. They didnt required me to pay a down payment.The saleslady said that I could get a full refund less a restocking fee if supplies had been ordered, which it hadn't as it's only been a few business days. She failed to inform me of a 35% cancelation fee at the time of signing. I signed a one page form, which the cancelation fee was not listed. We've had technicians on our property 4 times to install & resolve all the issues from our shower makeover. The initial installation left us with horrible caulking and leaking. Not to mention that the subway tile walls were HORRIBLE. The technicians gouged my flooring, broke a portion of my wall near the installation site, chipped paint on my walls by slamming my desk into it, didn't reinstall the trim they had adjust for our shower. In November of 2021 we had two doors installed. One of the doors kept leaking when there was a down pour and it never lined properly to lock deadbolt. It also would drag when opening and closing. Had someone do a service call like 3-4 times in two years and it kept leaking. Finally last service call they got a water hose to recreate the leak and found it. Used caulk. I wouldn't recommend west shore homes to anyone, they come in to an elderly women's home of 88 yrs old, seen an opportunity to get in and out with the job and did a terrible job, as far as I'm concerned they took advantage of her. They don't do professional grade work.ive done home improvements for 40 yrs and there's no way I could do a home owner, especially an elderly one, the way they've done.They should be shut down doing bussiness
We had a shower installed in March of 2022. The original install had issue from the beginning. The doors were installed in correctly. Someone came back out and adjusted the doors and not to long after that the doors exploded thank God God Noone was in the bathroom and was injured. They came back out and admitted that a washer was missing from the handle causing friction which made the door explode! West Shore Homes in Utah stole from my parents. The job was lousy. I would never recommend them and the steal from the elderly. They just put in a shower in a small bathroom and didn't remodel the rest of it just left it for a 72 year old man to finish for 14k. They never got a copy of the contract and never seen the contract. My parents tried to get out of it but they said it was to late. I am discussed that this even happened to them. This company took advantage of me with marked up prices for services and Veterans discount that’s applied to estimates of what it would cost to do the work and not applied to financing,this absolutely a play on words. As far as the work done to the renovation of two bathrooms in my house, the works was done satisfactory. My complaint is mainly on the ridiculous price to do the job. BUYER BEWARE!
It's a ripoff the amount of money that I was charged I could've gotten my entire bathroom done, the sales lady mislead me on the work that was supposed to be done. The contract for the work was supposed to be done had missing items that was supposed to be done because she didn't add it to the contract as she said would be done other then what I was aware of that I needed to do after installation.
