So excited to see Herl's Bath & Tile at the Shore Living Expo in Ocean City Md on Saturday, September 29, 2018, as they offered a free estimate for my master bathroom remodel in my Salisbury Md home October 3, 2018. Confirming appointment today, Herl's explained free estimate will cost $150 because my husband could not be home? Sad to see this provider will not work with me.

Set up a appointment to get a complete bathroom remodel. Can’t get it done because all owners of the property must be present to get an estimate. It does not matter if you have cash. Even if you are one Owner you must have all owners present you can’t get anything done. This includes owners who are incarcerated. You must have the court system release the other owner from jail to be present for the estimate. If the other owner on your deed is missing you must find them. I've had bathroom remodels in the past in the Hagerstown area. I am almost 70 years old and have been through many home improvement remodels. I am on day with Herls of a minor bathroom upgrade of shower doors and a Moen slide bar shower fixture. So far it has been the most inexperienced and unprofessional dealings I have ever had with an established business.

Just had tub and shower replaced in two bathrooms. The enclosures are beautiful, HOWEVER, we had someone else install the doors for us because of the price. The doors are beautiful, BUT the enclosure itself "gives" so much that they were difficult to get installed. Even the tension shower curtain caused a large dent in the enclosure, it should have never given that much. You could literally push it in with your thumb. my sister and brother in law are having a bad experience with herls - project is now 7 weeks past said completion date and they can't even provide them a date when they will be finished. not returning calls, no management? please go somewhere else besides herls!

Posting on behalf of my mother: "I cannot recommend Herl's to friends or family. Currently in the middle of a bathroom renovation. A different worker shows up each day. On the expected last day of the project, I was told the sink and backsplash have not been ordered. May take another week or more for delivery. Very frustrated! Was told this project would be completed before Labor Day weekend. This is the first negative review I have written about any contractor I have ever hired."

For a company who has been doing this type of work for 25+ years, I was surprised at what a disaster my install was. Due to inaccurate measurements by the salesman, the shower pan liner was too small, which resulted in a week delay. Then the sills were too small, which resulted in another delay. Until the correct sills were installed, the shower doors could not be ordered. Once ordered, the design had to change.
